There is construction on HWY 51 - HWY 51 on the east side of Stoughton is closed. Sometimes including the intersection of HWY N and HWY 51 (Main St). Make sure to follow the detour signs and do not drive through the construction - you will be pulled over! If you drive through any part of the construction you will be stopped by police. Click HERE for pics or just follow the signs. Coming from Madison HWY 51 is easiest. Coming from the direction of Janesville, follow the detour signs.
The historic Stoughton Opera House is located in Stoughton, WI just a few minutes south-east of Madison. The theater plays host to a wide variety of musical and theatrical performances throughout the season - rock, folk, classical, oddities, comedy...you name it.
